Essence Eyeshadow Base | Review

Hello everyone,  I know that a lot of you has different types of eyeshadow base that we all know that there are tones of eyeshadow base that works for us well.
Eyeshadow base helps our eyeshadows from creasing and will make our eyeshadows stick through out our entire day. Plus there are at least two types forms for eyeshadow base, there's a cream and liquid form. Correct me if I'm wrong liquid eyeshadow base has a satin - matte finish while cream eyeshadow base blends evenly and make the eyeshadows stick and blends evenly well.
I wanted to try a eyeshadow base that's affordable, so I got a new eyeshadow base which is in the brand essence
PRODUCT INFO:

Product Name: " I ❤ STAGE" eyeshadow base
Brand Name: Essence
Size: 0.13 fl. oz / 4 ml
Price: Php 209.00

What does it do?
Eyeshadow base for a long lasting eye makeup result.

Essence I ❤ Stage eyeshadow base, comes in a cylinder container packed with a sponge applicator.

The consistency comes in a creamy base that has a smooth texture that's easier to blend on the eyelids. It has a thick yellow undertone but doesn't dry or crease my eyelids. Thought it has yellow undertone it blends evenly and brightens up my eyelids.
What it also does it minimizes the veins that's peeking on my eyelids.
For baked semi sheer shadows, and matte browns the eyeshadows pops its color because of the eyeshadow base.
I love how the eyeshadow base works for my eyeshadow because the color just pops perfectly for sheer and matte eyeshadows. :)

PROS:
- For the packaging it's pro looking even though it's budget friendly
- Blends evenly, brightens eyelids, covers any redness & veins
-  Has a yellow undertone but blends onto the eyelids evenly
- Has a creamy base that helps the eyeshadow stick and pop your eyeshadow colors
- Budget friendly reasonable for it's price
- Great for starters on makeup to use as for their eyeshadow base
- Last my eyeshadow through out my entire day wearing my eye makeup
- Doesn't dries up my eyelids
-NO BOTHERING SCENT AT ALL

CONS:
- It's availability is only at SM watson's manila and where I live at Albay it's not available yet in Watsons Metro Gaisano Mall Branch area =(

Overall this is gonna be my partner forever because it works perfectly as a base and blends evenly well for my eye makeup.

What eye primers/base you use for your eyeshadows?

Till next time as always Take care & "simply love life always"

SHAWILL Hide the Blemish "You're Bluffing" CONCEALER | REVIEW + SWATCH

Concealers are one of the basic needs to cover up our imperfections on our face like scars, pimple marks, and dark eye bags. But for concealers there are many types to choose from, they come either in cream forms in a jar, liquid concealers, and Stick concealers.
So WATSONS Legazpi city Branch was opened last year around october at the Pacific Mall, so I had to give it a look what's new and interesting to buy ^_^.
They had a few cosmetics area like maybelline, careline, nichido, and Shawill. I came across to shawill cosmetics area they have various amount of eyemakeups, lipsticks, foundations, single brushes, eyelashes and more.I was a lot interested with their concealers which is their Hide the Blemish You're  Bluffing! concealer sticks. They have at least 4 shades which is 01 the lightest concealer and 04 the darkest concealer.  I purchased only two shades which I wanna use for contouring and a little highlight. Contouring?Highlight? wondering why? Yes because I've read a lot of blogs that concealers can be used as for contouring and highlight. It's not a bad habbit giving new things a try right? now off to my review. .
MORE INFO OF THE PRODUCT:
Product Name: Perfect Natural Concealer
Description: Anti - cernes , 3D traceless Defects

Concealer dimishes the appearance of fine line and wrinkles. Its light diffusing pigments soften the appearance of under eye circles and wrinkles. The hydrating complex, containing vit. A, C, E and beta carotene, soothes the under eye area while conditioning and moisturing the skin. The smooth and bendable formula is long-lasting.

Shades : 01 & 03
Price: Php 125.00
Weight: 9.2 g
Availability: any WATSONS Philippines Branch.
I bought mine at Pacific Mall Legazpi City.

Starting first for the packaging of the concealer stick, they come in a black sleek box which indicates their brand name and the concealers are called the "HIDE THE BLEMISH You're Bluffing!" Perfect & Natural Concealer
At the back indicates the concealer's use & ingredients.
Below the box has a hole where you can check what shade you have, I got mine in 01 and 03:
ACTUAL CONCEALERS looks like:
The concealers come in a stick form and they're in a black matte coating containers wrapped securely with tight secured plastics:
On the bottom, to open the concealer remove the cap first and start twisting right to push the concealer stick up. The twister's base has their own unique design which I like because the products brand just kind'a of matte engraved their name on it.
The concealer comes in a cream stick form which for me I like about it to use for my contouring so its a easy application. For concealing it's a bit hard to blend it well with my fingers because the consistency is a bit thick.
SWATCHES:

LEFT - RIGHT
01 & 03

01 is the lightest shade from the rest but in photo's it shows that it has a slight yellow undertone to it, but in reality it's slightly pale, while for 03 is the nearest shade to the darkest one which has a pink undertone to it and in reality it has that slight tinted brown that's great for contouring your face features.

FINAL VERDICT:

PROS:
- Unique packaging
- light weight for a makeup bag
- It's easy to use with the twister mechanism thing (hehe!)
- Thick cream/y form for a concealer
- Great for heavy covering imperfections & contouring
- Price is reasonable for a drugstore product and for beginners to makeup

CONS:
- Has a strange smell
- Slightly hard to blend, have to use a brush to blend it well
- Only available in the Philippines.
Will you repurchase the Product?
No, Because I have my own personal concealers that I wear most of the times I want and I'll be just using this just for contouring and highlight.

If you ever tried this concealer how well did it work for you?

e.l.f Flawless Finish Foundation | REVIEW & FIRST IMPRESSION

Foundation is one of the most important steps to achieve a an even uniform color to our complexion. Finding the right foundation is hard right? Because you have to have the right foundation that will not only cover up your imperfections but also give you that flawless smooth youthful looking skin. For makeup its really important to achieve a even canvas on your face because you don't wanna go out looking like pale on the face and yet you have a medium skin tone right? So here's one foundation that I will certainly love to bits.
So recently for the past few months from summer I love the beach and so my friends/TROPA haha! went to Catanduanes and had a summer blast there so a lot of Beach swimmings, Waterfall hiking and stuff like that so a lot of sun exposure I had. And you guessed it I went a bit darker than my natural skin tone. But currently I haven't got any sun exposure since Bicol experienced a lot of cloudy, rain and especially a typhoon just passed us like the typhoon "Glenda" . So my skin went to fair light medium. And some of my foundations that are stacked on my vanity are deep medium so I had to get me one foundation that's a bit lighter than my old ones. So here's my new foundation and it's the e.l.f Flawless Finish Foundation:

Starting off with the packaging first itself it comes in a chic black box.The box clearly says its a semi matte finish that lasts all day. On the back portion has it's direction, drug facts , other information and inactive ingredients. At the side of the box has its manufactured date which was on May 1, 2014 and the product will simply Be best before on April 30, 2017 which has 3 years of use cool! :)
The foundation itself comes in a semi heavy yet classy glass container with a black chic lid to match their brand theme.
It has SPF 15 and it's oil free and has a net wt. 08 oz (23g).
At the back of the bottle has it's uses which indicates "Helps prevent sunburn" and also has directions to apply the foundation. Plus a reminder tip warning that its for external use only and keep it of eyes if it gets into the eyes just rinse it out with water and keep away from children. And lastly it has a active ingredients in it with Octisalate 2% and Titanium Dioxide 55%.
I love how e.l.f adds a chic touch to this foundation because of the top lid engraved with their brand name. Oh by the way I got in the shade in "SAND".
The foundation comes in a pump form which is pretty convenient to use so that I can estimate the amount of product I'll be pumping out, and won't waste or spill the foundation so it's a good thing that it comes out with a pump.
SWATCH:
The foundation color has a light medium undertone to it that matches my skin tone color :
The foundation doesn't have that sticky very thick creamy consistency but just enough in between like not too heavy and light that just runs out down to the skin. It doesn't consist of any glitter/y flex in it that once the light reflects on the skin. So lets take a test to it shall we? . .

So here's my bare face hence with all the impurities I have on my skin due to city pollution and even the weather condition either my hormones affects my skin lately. Now thats a lady's life and I know some of you might feel the same why I do.

You can tell that that I have skin discoloration, dark circles and some pimple scars that I just can't resist to remove them which I know isn't right to do, and another pimple that's on my right forehead. So the foundation clearly said based on its description: "It's semi matte finish that lasts all day". So to start off before applying the foundation I already prepped my face from tonining, moisturizing and prime my face. Now that's done I'm just using the back of my hand to apply minimal amount of product so that I can control the amount once applied onto my face.
I'm using my Real Technique's Buffing brush to apply the foundation gradually and towards my neck to even out my skin tone.
So what I did here is I just applied one layer first to check how the foundation went well with my imperfections. I noticed that it even out the discoloration that I had on my skin tone and covered up some dark spots on the sides of my face, and minimally covered up my pimple scars. For my dark circles it also covered up just right to make my face appear lighter.
So I went on to apply another layer to give me more coverage that I want to have for my complexion.
Here's the result on my 2nd layer :
I already stopped on my second layer since the foundation already achieved my expectations to have a even complexion. Now that's everything good for my complexion I just set my entire face with my Ben Nye Neutral Set powder to keep my face from getting too oily and keep the foundation set onto my face. And also I did my brows and added my tinted blush and tinted lip stain.
Here's how my face looks like from Normal indoor light and with a flash of my camera:
I didn't apply any eye makeup because this is how my face looks like from every single day I do to just have a natural and fresh youthful looking skin. For my under eyes I'm already used to not apply concealer because I just want my skin to breathe a lot and have at least minimal amount of product on my face.

With the curiosity that I had since the product says it lasts all day I went out to test and see how the foundation turns out after  my daily basis in life.
I started the time when I was at home around 10:00 AM and my face looks really fresh and stress free from before.

TAKEN AT 4:00PM
This is how my face looks like without any re touch ups. I started to get oily on my t-zone areas and especially a lot on my forehead. I never used any loos powders to seal in the foundation, this is to check how it's lasting power can go over for hours. So I only used my blotting sheet to blot my oily areas. And here's how my blotting sheet looks like.
You can already see through my blotting sheet and that's how oily my face is. I noticed also that the foundation got a little transfer to my blotting sheet but it's still there and my dark circles are already peaking through and so is with my pimple scars, and I still have my brows and blush on.
So I went on further to test how much long the foundation can stay after another few hours.
Here's how my entire face looks like and this was taken around 10:00PM in the evening and I could honestly say that the lasting power of the foundation can last to 12 hours  for me and based on my experience because I have a active life basis which includes sun exposure, and even windy weather so hence the messy hair (hehehe..).
FINAL VERDICT:

  • For the price ranges from Php 350.00 - Php 400.00 which is a fair price
  • The container/bottle itself comes in a pro chic theme
  • comes with a pump
  • Has SPF 15
  • It has a semi matte silky Finish
  • Doesn't have a stinky smell
  • Must be applied with a buffing brush or beauty sponge for more fair blended complexion results
  • Doesn't have any glitter/y flexes
  • doesn't clog my pores at all
  • Must be set with any setting powder for more matte finish
  • Ideal for combo skin types
Overall for the experience of the foundation I love how it works on my skin type because it just gives me a flawless youthful complexion, but I only need to just bring my blotting sheet  to get the excess oils that I have on my face because the foundation still stays on my face and doesn't fade easily.

Will You Repurchase the foundation?
Yes, because it's versatile to use and I love how the foundation works for me.
Till next time as always Take care & "simply love life always"

BEN NYE Powder Samplers | REVIEW + SWATCH

Hey Dolls!

I have always wanted to get me myself a setting powder that will keep any foundation I have on my face through out my entire day.I know that there's a lot of setting powder on the market like a translucent powder were it acts a transparent powder with no color at all and neutralizes the foundation on your skin and will set any cream/y foundation on your face.I got curious and wanted to try the Ben Nye powders that comes in their official sizes, like in a bottle container ones, but in their other powder shades.
So I got myself two Ben Nye samplers that I purchased from Keringkeristore.comand wondering why I got them in samplers sizes? So that I could give each color a try to check and see which suits my skin color best. Its budget friendly because their website has also their official sizes and now they got these babies in sampler sizes yey! ^_^

Each cost  Php 200.00 pesos only. Now I got the shades in Cameo Banana, and for the packaging they come in clear acrylic containers with also a mini powder puff ain't that cute? :)

These powders are known for a hint of color and provides a matte to subltle finish.

Each containers has a separator between them which is shield shut packed with a clear tape in order for the powder to spill out and making a mess out of itself.

You can either lift the lid and add your setting powder and carry it on your bag for an extra touch up.

SWATCHES:

Banana has a yellow light medium tone to it that's suitable for light/ish medium undertones while Cameo has a fair to light tone that's suitable for fair - light skin tones.

Each powder has a silky to fine texture and is light weight for the skin. If blended well with your makeup brush into the skin it doesn't flake at all and has a matte finish.

Till next time as always Take care & "simply love life always"

Everbilena Matte Lipsticks | REVIEW + SWATCH

Hey Dolls!
Nothing completes your entire makeup look with any color on our lips right?
Here's another pair of lipsticks that I got for myself to match the Fall season which was last year but since the color trends is MARSALA like a deep brown/ish red I can just match these lipsticks that I got for myself which are from Everbilena . I purchased myself two (2) matte lipsticks and I got in the shade(s) :

VAMP RED , TOAST OF NEW YORK

For the packaging they come in a sleek black case and has a silver that wraps around the lipstick itself which is responsible for the rotation of the lipsticks bullet to come up and down. The case also has their eb signature and also says in matte, which you can totally identify the lipstick in a matte form.  Underneath the lipstick are their name shades. On the top lids of the lipsticks are the color shades that are placed on top at a transparent lips which will even help you indicate the color of the lipstick.

(CLOSE UP VIEW)

SWATCHES :

Each shades has a vibrant color and has a matte finish to it but has a semi moist to it so that it won't totally dry up your lips, especially for dry lips this won't be a problem since it has a semi moist to it to glide smoothly on your lips. I like how "Toast of New York" turned out because the color has that tint brown/ish mixed with a kind of nude/y color that's perfect for fall and its not too light neither too dark. So if your a girl who can rock a brown/ish nude color than this color is perfect for you.
While "Vamp Red" has a deep red/ish and mixed with a darkness to it.  I love how the color is swatched at the back of my hand because the color is bold and not patchy at all. I could rock this color for more of that vamp/y got to chill and just be girly and mysterious with those vampy lips. (hahahaha! ^_^ )

Till next time as always Take care & "simply love life always"
