SPONSORED REVIEW | Rucy's Vanity

Hello! my beautiful amazing readers, today I wanna share with all of a special sponsored review. I am thrilled and honored that Rucy's vanity was so kind to ask me to do a full honest review on their products of my choice. So let's begin!
I choose 5 products from their website : http://www.rucysvanityph.com all of their products by the way are made from Korea. They have lots of different products to choose from makeup, skincare and body care products. I choose their:
1. Green Tea Foam cleansing
2.Two way cake
3. Quad eye shadow - Neutral bronzed
4. Pearl b.b cream
5. Lip & cheek red stain

Starting off with their facial Green Tea foam cleansing
PRODUCT INFO:
BRAND NAME: rucy's vanity
Made in: Korea
WHAT TYPE? Green Tea
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Contains collagen with green tea , deep cleansing action,
remove excessive oil & sebum, power whitening effect
NET WEIGHT: 100ml/ 3.38 oz
The foam cleanser is actually quite big enough for only Php 130.00 only for a 100ml of tube, it's affordable yet a lot of product to love my entire face for this baby.
The foam cleanser is gently soft on my skin, didn't irritate at first application, nothing at all. I did had a lot of fun applying it on my face while filming a video on their brand. :)
I love how the scent of the facial cleanser has, it's like real green tea in it, and the consistency is semi thick foam to just get deep into the skin and cleansing it throughly.  What I like about the cleanser is that after comparing my normal haggard face  after using this it brightens my face a lot than usual and I feel so fresh, clean  after washing with the cleanser because it removes the oiliness of my skin, since I'm a combo to oily type of skin.

PRODUCT INFO:
BRAND NAME: rucy's vanity
Made in: Korea
SHADE? #21 Natural Beige
WHAT DOES IT DO?
* Two way cake
* SPF 35 PA  ++
- Combines the goodness of foundation and powder in one with added protection from UV rays with whitening effect
[credits their website : rucy's vanity
  • Whitening
  • Stay matte all day
  • Non-cakey
  • UV Protection
  • Non-clogging
Next I got their two way cake powder foundation and I'm in the shade #21 Natural Beige, it has spf 35 plus double protection strength from UVA rays.  It's not just your ordinary powder foundation it has also whitening effect mineral and protection against the harmful rays of the sun. Their compact comes in a barbie pink box with a shade number and name on the top opening cover.
The compact powder is in a chic white compact container with a cute puff on top of a lid.
Underneath the lid is the powder foundation itself, so both powder and puff is separated from each other for sanitary purposes once it's used.
In real life Natural beige has a light-medium yellow undertone that matches my skin color, for the powder's texture it has a semi matte to satin finish.
PRODUCT INFO:
BRAND NAME: rucy's vanity
Made in: Korea
WHAT TYPE? Pearl BB Cream
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Pearl finish bb cream giving you a natural, radiance glow.
Contains green tea extracts
Whitening & moisturizing with UV protection
SPF30 PA ++
NET WEIGHT: 8ml
The pearl bb cream comes in a cute small sized silver tube and when I mean small tube here's a comparison from my pond's bb cream :
It's small but a lot of product is in the tube, the tube is made secured lock for the lid to securely be locked in place.
The pearl bb cream has a creamy to liquidly form but not too water/y though, it's quite thick enough. What the pearl bb cream does it gives you that radiance glow on the face.
Once blended well it has that glowy effect for that highlight on the face.
 PRODUCT INFO:
BRAND NAME: rucy's vanity
Made in: Korea
WHAT TYPE? Lip & cheek tint
WHAT DOES IT DO?

This dual-purpose liquid stain gives lips and cheeks a hint of natural-looking colour. Can be used under gloss for added intensity.
NET WEIGHT: 8ml
The lip & cheek tint comes in a metallic red pink tube with a black cap. Also it's made secured lock on the tube for a secured lock.
The consistency is thick like kind of like a jelly type but thick and quite sticky. It has that cherry scent which I like about it, it's not that annoying cherry strong scent, but it's fruity soft scent.
Once blended evenly the tint has a shiny sticky form, but it's not that thick sticky texture where in starts to drip all over the place. But quick tip is when working with tinted lip & cheek is to dab a little amount first because a little comes a long way.
 PRODUCT INFO:
BRAND NAME: rucy's vanity
Made in: Korea
WHAT TYPE? #3 Neutral Bronzed
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Four eye shadow quad, consist of Neutral bronzed eyeshadows.
The quad eyeshadow has four (4) neutral bronze colors and it comes in acrylic plastic container. The quad comes with a standard eye sponge shown on the photo:
They actually have 3 shades total which is #1 Pink aura and #2 Purple pop.
I choose The Neutral bronzed because browns, olives and bronze eyeshadows are just perfect for your everyday go-to makeup or in any events because its wearable.
Each eyeshadows are semi shimmery slightly metallic but doesn't have too many fall outs. Each are super pigmented with just one swatch of each finger I have on and on the back of my hand:

FINAL VERDICT:

Each product from Rucy's Vanity are much affordable:
Foam Cleansing Green tea - Php 130.00
Two way cake - Php 250.00
Pearl bb cream - Php 70.00
Lip & cheek red - Php 80.00
Quad Eyeshadow - Php 200.00

- I love how each products are made uniquely cute & easy to use for your go-to everyday
- I love how each product works for me because I didn't have any difficulties applying each on myself
- It didn't harm or irritate my skin at all

Other than that I'm happy to have been kindly sponsored by Rucy's Vanity to try out their products and give a full honest review on each.
Special thanks again to Rucy's Vanity :)

You can check them out on Instagram @thevanityzone & Facebook The Vanity Zone for more high-trend and also affordable makeup & a lot of pretty stuff that they have installed for you. :)

Before moving on to the palette info itself, a little short intro about the brand itself which is (credits to Sephora's website) Created by Kat Von D, tattoo artist, TV star, and owner of High Voltage Tattoo, this inspiring makeup collection exemplifies the fusion of glamorous, old Hollywood and edgy rock 'n' roll. Kat’s distinct style and flawlessly crafted face reveals that she is as masterful with a makeup brush as she is with a tattoo machine.

(Got this from Sephora's website)
An expert sketch artist, Kat Von D uses shadow and light to create depth and dimension in her captivating portraits, infusing them with lifelike authenticity. Take artistry shading into your own hands with this Shade + Light Contour Palette. Effortlessly sculpt, chisel, shape, and slenderize your features for enhanced definition. Unlike traditional bronzing powders, the Shade + Light Contour Palette is loaded with a unique selection of matte shades that capture the true hues of shadow and light. The three contour shades create realistic shadows to recede facial features, while the three highlight shades impart a soft luminosity to amplify dimension. A true artist's palette specially designed to be used with the Shade + Light Contour Brush, these silky, buildable powders blend effortlessly into the skin for a flawless, fade-proof finish that flatters every skin tone or face shape. This set is exclusively available at Sephora.

THIS SET CONTAINS:
(Got this from Sephora's website)
- 3 x 0.16 oz Shade powder in Sombre (true taupe), Shadowplay (soft brown), Subconscious (deep brown)
- 3 x 0.08 oz Light powder in Lucid (pinkish nude), Lyric (yellow beige), Levitation (soft peach)
-Step-by step guide

WHAT IT IS FORMULATED WITHOUT:
(Got this from Sephora's website)
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

The palette comes in a sleek black rock/ish style which I like because it's just pro looking. On the front has Kat Von D's name highlighted with a silver imprinted on the cover of the box, plus name of the palette which she named Shade + Light, and I like how she created the palette with a tribal rock font name of the palette, it only shows how a unique tattoo artist she is.
At the back of the box has the names of three (3) highlights shades which are Lucid, Lyric, Levitation and also there are three (3) contour shades which are Sombre, Shadowplay and subconscious.
I noticed when I opened the box there were imprinted silver stars which I believe that it's Kat Von D's signature because she obviously has a tattooed star on the left or right side on her upper cheek bones, so I think it's her own way of signature to the palette she created.
I mentioned above that the palette comes with a step-by-step guide, and on the guide card has Kat Von D's own created sketch of her own to guide you through creating dimension on your face.It also includes what are the highlight from the contour shades to use, and the card says that you can also use Kat Von D's  shade + light brush but it is sold separately, which I don't mind because I can still use any brush that's great for this palette.
I like the fact that at the back has her step-by-step guides to enhance the features on your face which is HOW-TO contour the correct way like defining the cheekbones, Slimming effect of the face, and shaping the nose, because she's a professional tattoo artist and knows how to give your face dimension for that smooth natural contour.
The palette itself is just the same with it's name on top of the cover and same thing goes for the back part which are the shades of the highlighters and contours.
HERE'S HOW THE PALETTE LOOKS LIKE INSIDE :
The palette comes with a mirror which is I love how uniquely its made with that whole rock/ish theme to it, and on the bottom are the highlighters and contours.
Each pan are properly sealed in the palette so these are not removable at all.
I didn't hesitate to swatch the highlighters because I was too excited to use this and eventually got carried away as usual (hehe!!), and I noticed that each are super super pigmented, with just one swipe of my fingers, the shades are bold, not chalky, neither any glitter/y in each highlight, and no fall outs at all.
It's SWATCH TIME!
Starting from the left side which are the contour shades are:
Subconscious, Shadowplay, Sombre
The highlight are the ones on the right which are:
Levitation, Lyric, Lucid
For each shades for the contour and highlights here are some of my opinions how I describe each shades:
CONTOUR SHADES:
Subconscious: Has that grey tone that's perfect for the deep contour for your hallows because it gives that nice cast shadow to deepening up your structures.

Shadowplay:  Comes in with that soft warm sandy brown undertone to warm up your hallows a bit and this is perfect for giving you that warmth on your face.

Sombre: It's that dark earth/y brown color, if you wanna deep out more your structures you can either us this as well.

HIGHLIGHT SHADES:
Levitation: Has that soft rich peach tone satin finish, the color payoff is a bit sheer, but so sorry if my camera did not give that specific color to it but in real life the shade is a bit pale sheer.

Lyric: For lyric, it has that yellow light-medium tone with a satin-matte finish, super soft and it's a bit powder/y finish, that I'd go for highlighting, because my complexion is light medium and I can compare this to the Ben nye luxury banana  powder because it can definitely brighten up my highlight points like under my eyes.

Lucid: It's that pinkish nude color with a little yellow undertone to it. Has a matte finish , soft to silky finish that can set on your face.

FINAL VERDICT:

- I like how the palette comes in a PRO looking palette with Kat Von D's unique way signature look to it.

- I love how the palette comes in with it's uniquely neutral, warm and cool tones that great for contouring and highlighting  your features.  It's great for any looks I wanna achieve but a little tip is that using each color with minimum amount because a little goes a long way since each shades are super pigmented.

- I also like how each shades has silky, soft textures and also satin to matte finish.

- It's a bit price/y comparing this to other contour palettes but it's your own choice whatever suits you, so I for myself wanted to get myself this palette  and get creative with this palette in the future.

- Also I agree to Kat Von D's tip is that "The key to artistry shading is to BLEND!, BLEND!, BLEND!"

None other than that I love my new Kat Von D Shade + Light Palette  ^_^

REVIEW | Virginia Olsen Contour/Blush & Sculpting Brush

When it comes to makeup we need the right tools to use to achieve any look we want right? There are a lot and tons of types of brushes out there in the market which some of us use for ourselves or either clients that we do for makeup. I've seen from other beauty guru's using these eco friendly  brushes which are from the brand Virginia Olsen. I'll be fully honest not to tell that I purchased this from last year and wasn't able to give these lovelies a review for all of you (sorry! my bad), so here goes.....
So as I've said I purchased these brushes from Virginia Olsen  and these are the Contour/Blush Brush and the Sculpting Brush:

PRODUCT INFO:
NAME/TYPE: Sculpting Brush
PRICE: Php 450.00
WHERE TO BUY? Virginia Olsen
I personally like how each brush is packed eco friendly type of brush like the eco tools brush sets. For the brush it self it's made out of kind of wood or bamboo handle with their brand name on the bottom and secures the brush hairs with the ferrule. It doesn't squeeze the bristles too hard it's just right fitted for the bristles. Talking about the bristles the ends of the hairs are colored brown, which is easy to determine to see how the brush picks up the product enough. Plus it's super super soft not too stiff.
This type of brush is slim made and I prefer this best for contouring or blending hard places to reach on the face.
PRODUCT INFO:
NAME/TYPE: Contour/Blush Brush
PRICE: Php 450.00
WHERE TO BUY? Virginia Olsen
For the next brush this is the Contour/Blush brush again same made with the sculpting brush , and the bristles are also super super soft. But this type of blush/contour brush is a bit smaller and semi slimmer kinda like not too fluffy big. And has that slanted shape for easy application for your blush, bronzer and contour as well.
Lastly before I forget anything else, each brush has their brush care  that comes with packaging that they came in.
 It's cruelty free 100% ECO FRIENDLY! :)

MY VERDICT:
For the Sculpting Brush:
I like how its made for sculpting areas on the face and good for contouring as well, and it's a worth of Php 450.00 high quality brush. Plus the bristles are really really super soft! And I actually gave the brush a try and it's just absolutely amazing to use for contouring, you can also blend the brush out well to give you that more softer look.

For the Blush/Contour brush,
I also love this brush for my blush and also for powder foundation.
Powder foundation? Yes! because you have your own skills to use the brush to blend evenly out with your foundation because I did try this for my foundation and works just fine for myself. Also worth of my php 450.00 for awsome quality.

I love both brushes, and hopefully to add this on my monthly fave's soon. :)

as always Till next time as always Take care & "simply love life always"
